Kasador puts their best foot forward with ‘Talk About It’ [A dance floor anthem for a dive bar]

The five-piece indie rock outfit Kasador has released their self-titled debut EP. After years of touring and demoing songs, the band have created a sound that is both reflective of their live show as well as the subtle ironing out of songs that can only be found in a studio setting. Recorded at The Tragically Hip’s studio just outside of Kingston Ontario with engineer/producer Nyles Spencer (Half Moon Run, Sam Roberts), Kasador found sounds that would fit their indie dance hall live shows while maintaining their pop songwriting sensibilities.

The EP’s lead song ‘Talk About It’ is a prime example of these forces at work. The infectious guitar riff, dancy bass lines and eerie synths set the mood for a song about losing someone through a lack of communication.

The video for ‘Talk About It’ premiered with AUX magazine on October 18th, 2016 with a strong reception and summery of Kasador: ‘Beautifully directed, shot and edited by Brett Pedersen, the video is a keen and inviting intro to the band and what they’re all about; heartbreak wrapped in a four-on-thefloor, glitzy yet gritty banger; a dance floor anthem for a dive bar.’

‘Talk About It’ has been featured in blogs and playlists across North America as well
as making the airwaves with spins from radio stations in Canada. It was also used in
a Google AdWords YouTube Commercial released a few days after the video.

Kasador will be hitting the road this January and February with dates across Ontario
and the northeastern United States. Dates to be announced on their website later
this month.
