J. F. July’s – new wonky, trip-hop, alt-pop from London.

Hailing from Manchester, based in London and twenty five years of age, multi-instrumentalist J. F. July’s new single, ‘Cruel’, is out now.

Following on from the success of his debut EP ‘One’ which received solid online support alongside plays on BBC Introducing and Amazing radio, J. F. July delivers another warm release. Inspired by the likes of Låpsley, James Blake and Robert Glasper, ‘Cruel’ is an ambient and lo-fi release, with layered vocals, piano/rhodes, pitch shifted vocal pads, beautiful soundscapes and sparse, electronic percussion.

Written solely with a loop pedal creating repeating patterns that build and fall, this song addresses old relationships, retracing young love around being a twenty-something in London.

‘Cruel’ will be available to download and stream now on iTunes and Spotify
